Boracay has welcomed a new addition to its tourism scene with the soft opening of Kaban Hotel and Casino Boracay on 16 September 2026.
Located in Station 0, Barangay Yapak, the six-storey property is being positioned as Boracay’s first hotel-casino, bringing together accommodation, dining, entertainment and gaming under one roof. A full grand launch is scheduled for 11 October 2026.
What’s Inside Kaban Boracay?
Kaban features 88 hotel rooms and a 2,000-square-metre casino floor licensed by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
The casino offers table games, slot machines and electronic table games, while Kaban’s official website also highlights private high-limit gaming areas and VIP services.
But the property is not focused only on gaming.
Guests will have access to seven food and beverage outlets, a spa, outdoor pool deck, rooftop bar, VIP lounge and a dedicated children’s play area. Its Lamii all-day dining restaurant combines Filipino flavours with international influences.
The mix suggests Kaban wants to attract regular holidaymakers as well as visitors looking for gaming and nightlife.
Part of a Bigger Station 0 Development
Kaban is also part of a much larger plan for the northern end of Boracay.
The hotel-casino sits within a 23-hectare master-planned development by Golden TW Realty and Development Corp, which aims to create a wider commercial and leisure destination around Station 0.
Another major component, Boracay Central, is expected to add shopping and other commercial offerings to the area.
This could gradually give visitors another reason to spend time beyond Boracay’s traditionally busier Station 1 and Station 2 areas.
Grand Launch Coming in October
The September opening is essentially the first stage.
Kaban has confirmed that its Grand Launch will take place on 11 October 2026, following weeks of promotional activities across Boracay leading up to the opening.
The company has been marketing the property as a new 24-hour entertainment destination while also promoting its Kaban Star Rewards membership programme.
Insight
Kaban's arrival could mark an interesting shift for Boracay. The island has long been known mainly for its beaches, resorts and nightlife, but adding a hotel-casino introduces another tourism segment.
More importantly, Kaban is only one part of a much larger Station 0 development. If the surrounding retail and leisure projects attract visitors, Station 0 could gradually develop into a destination of its own rather than simply the quieter end of Boracay.
For travellers, that means more choices. For local businesses and workers, it could mean new opportunities as Boracay continues to broaden its tourism economy.
