Genting Berhad Issues RM 495 Million in Medium-Term Notes to Fund Genting Malaysia Takeover

Genting Berhad has announced that its financing arm has issued RM 495 million (approximately US$104 million) in medium-term notes (MTNs) as part of a broader RM 10 billion programme. These notes carry a one-year tenure and offer interest at one-month KLIBOR plus 1.80 % per annum. The proceeds will be used to help finance its takeover of Genting Malaysia Berhad, with the acquisition offer announced on 13 October 2025.

Kangwon Land Inc. (South Korea) Reports Strong Progress on “Value-Up Plan” for Shareholders

Malaysia’s gaming and hospitality group Genting Berhad has announced that its direct shareholding in its listed subsidiary Genting Malaysia has climbed to 60.609% as of 19 November 2025, following the acceptance of 171 million shares at RM2.35 per share. This marks a significant increase from its previous holding of roughly 49.44% before mid-October.

Star Entertainment Cuts Senior Staff as Bally’s Takeover Restructure Accelerates

Australia’s Star Entertainment Group is set to cut up to 40 senior roles in a cost-reduction move ahead of the US gaming company Bally’s Corporation formally taking control.
