Travellers International Secures $450M to Complete Westside City IR in Manila by 2026

Travellers International, together with Suntrust Resort Holdings, has confirmed that they will need an additional US$450 million to complete the Westside City integrated resort project in Parañaque, Manila. Travellers International to Invest $700M in New Casino Resorts on Mactan and Boracay by 2026

Travellers International, under parent company Alliance Global Group (AGI), has confirmed plans to break ground on large integrated resorts (IRs) with casino components in Boracay and Mactan starting in 2026. The combined investment is expected to reach about US$700 million, with one major project at Boracay Newcoast and another in the Mactan Newtown area of Cebu. These IRs will include not just casinos, but luxury hotels, supporting amenities, and additional non‐gaming facilities to enhance the travel and leisure appeal of the destinations.

Malaysia Presses Meta Over Surge in Online Gambling Ads Ahead of Key Meeting

Malaysia’s Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has announced a meeting with Meta executives on September 22, 2025, to confront what the government says is a surge in illegal online gambling advertisements and content on Facebook. The minister emphasized that many of the gambling-related posts taken down are just a small portion of what remains visible, and raised concerns about Facebook’s alleged failure to block payment methods (credit cards, etc.) used to promote content that is clearly illegal under Malaysian law.
