Macau’s entertainment scene is set for a major boost as Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd announced a four-year strategic partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The deal will bring three UFC Fight Night events to the Galaxy Arena at Galaxy Macau between 2026 and 2029, making it a central stage for combat sports in Asia.
Bringing World-Class MMA to Macau
According to Kevin Kelley, COO – Macau for Galaxy Entertainment, the collaboration is a major milestone for the city. “This partnership with UFC reflects our ongoing commitment to diversify Macau’s entertainment offering and support the government’s vision of developing Macau into a world-class tourism and sports destination,” he said.
The partnership also includes hosting the opening round of “Road to UFC” in 2026, a talent series designed to showcase Asia-Pacific fighters competing for UFC contracts. Dana White, UFC President, highlighted the importance of this initiative: “Asia has always been home to some of the most passionate fight fans in the world. ‘Road to UFC’ gives us a chance to discover the next generation of champions, and bringing it to Macau is a game-changer,” he noted.
Beyond the Fights: Fan Experience
The UFC events will be more than just fight nights. They will feature fan meet-and-greets, fighter appearances, and week-long festivals across the Galaxy Macau complex. Kelley added: “Our vision is to transform each UFC event into a festival of sports and entertainment that attracts fans from around the world and creates lasting economic impact for Macau.”
Both sides see this as a strategic win. As Dana White emphasized, “Partnering with Galaxy Entertainment ensures we deliver unforgettable experiences in one of the best venues in the world. Macau is the perfect stage for UFC’s expansion in Asia.” With the first event slated for 2026, the deal cements Macau’s place on the global MMA map while enhancing its role as a tourism and entertainment hub.
